This video give a quick update on the “playability” of some of the top AAA game of 2025… basically optimization and updates fixed most of them.
Why is anyone playing AAA these days when so many great gam a exist. Most AAA is the slime left at the bottom of the barrel where all the originality has already been removed
Yep… Well, at least we have indy.
Thank you, this was my first thought. We’re tired of AAA slop that’s almost always perpetually online, rushed, derivative, and riddled with microtransactions/battlepass subscriptions. Not to mention they’re about to start trying to charge us 80 bucks a title. Let the industry rot.
Right now it seems like most games are playable if they don’t use UE5 or have mandatory ray tracing. There are a few other notable exceptions like Monster Hunter Wilds (which is just terribly optimized in general) and Starfield (which actually just got a new performance options focused on low end devices, so it might work better now).
I mostly use the Deck for emulation and to play my massive library of Indie games (thank you Humble Monthly).
Is there a playability list for AAA games that shows which ones are worth playing?
