Berkeley Cycle Works and Wrench Science both closed in February. Jitensha Studio, a fixture for over four decades, will close soon to make way for Southside student housing but hopes to continue somehow.

    No idea why this guy is going out of business. If I have to spend the cost of a reasonable used car to get a bike, I’m going to get the car. Greed kills. Stupidity does not help.

      To be fair, that’s a quote from a custom bike shop with a particular and specific style. It’s akin to showing up at a high end European car dealer and asking for a Ford Focus. You’ll be laughed off the lot.
