My comment is about disallowing pop-up headlights in the name of pedestrian safety while allowing these oversized pickups and even lift kits. Also things like brush guards, which are extremely dangerous to pedestrians even if they do serve a purpose off-road.
I’ll be honest here and say that I don’t know enough about the crash dynamics of the cab-over design of these mini-trucks to have an opinion on it. Could be that they are really bad too.
