For a long time I wouldn’t order pizza, I would always make a friend do it. If they wouldn’t, oh well, guess we weren’t having pizza.
I’ve gotten a lot better, my career has basically required me to be able to make and field calls so I can do it now. But I still appreciate places that let me order online through a form, which is thankfully pretty common these days.
I mean, only OP can clarify what they actually meant. I was just sharing my interpretation, which I will say leans heavily on the final “in order to not burn myself” line.
I’m not sure OP ist trying to diagnose so much as just define their own boundaries. It’s healthy to know your boundaries and be able to quickly recognize and respond maturely to something that will cross them.
Brushing your teeth is the only time you clean your skeleton.
