3 days agoOkay I gotta ask since I’ve seen it a bunch recently but when did transgender as a noun become accepted. It’s an adjective. I’ve seen trans people be called a Trans multiple times recently and it never got challenged but it always feels icky to me. I’m a transgender woman or a trans woman for short. If you want to shorten it further you may call me a woman but not a trans
Same as with trans women the trans is still an adjective, i don’t know why that would change. If you want to talk about multiple categories of trans people, you can just use trans people or something similar. If you’re talking about my example at the end there it’s because i literally am a trans woman and was talking about myself.
