I once had some giant hornet thing the size of my hand on the side of my tire. I felt bad for it because it looked like something had clipped one of its wings.
I think I rolled along a couple feet and got out and checked and it had gone off somewhere. I forget what it was, but I remember reading it just eats grasshoppers or something.
Nobody wants to move once they’ve found their cozy spot! ☺️

It’s been 80F here in the Philadelphia/NY area and I’m ready for winter already. I’m in NY this weekend and they seem to be enjoying it cuz nobody has AC on yet it feels like. 🥵

I was just thinking about those dogs recently! I believe I saw a post from then saying their program is at risk of losing its funding/grants thanks to the government shenanigans, soni hope they keep getting good work with all the various jobs they do!
Getting an owl to do anything seems to be a great challenge, but I’d sure love to see it! 😁
I went back a few months and didn’t come across their particular stories. This group seems to treat a very high volume of patients.
Usually they are either unreleasable due to being imprinted in humans or have an injury which would make it difficult for them to feed themselves or stay safe, like permanent wing/eye/ear damage. Since these are able to properly raise owlets, I’m guessing it’s injury related as they still have proper owl behaviors.
They’ve been using that coin longer than most countries have existed I think! Those are some owl fans!
Even though she is bigger, you still don’t tell her that to her face anyway! 😇
