If you don’t like the attitude of the maintainer, fork it if you like, ignore it if you don’t.
It’s actually really easy to remember when considering the Proto-West Germanic etymology, one comes from *hwār, the othe from *hwaʀ. Just apply regular sound changes to find the modern form!
Ah, reminds me of high school physics and always trying to remember whether I needed to multiply or divide by 3.6.
