More specifically they trigger gynogenesis using the sperm from males of other species! The sperm only triggers asexual reproduction, so the male DNA isn’t actually used in any way. I dunno why they use this mechanism specifically, perhaps it’s just a convenient mechanism to control when they should produce offspring.

What this mean ?

Gosh I don’t know, I stole it from somewhere. Sometimes I trim these, but I couldn’t be bothered this time. I have no idea what process could possibly result in all that dead space without it being intentional.
