I mean, quality of life has gone up almost everywhere in the world (warzones being the exception ofcourse). The issue is just that the class divide is also going up everywhere.
If the quality of life of poor people is 1% better while for rich people it’s 100000% better, then we still need to get some guillotines out in the streets
Just because it’s “better” doesn’t mean it’s fair or that it shouldn’t be orders of magnitude better
If you live in a very privileged country then maybe that is your experience. The rest of the world however has only barely started catching up in terms of food security. None the less the situation is soooo much better than it was 30 years ago. Its still not good by any means, but to say that it hasnt gone up is absurd.

That’s going to age like milk in a hot car in America come July.
They did say “almost”.
i did say “almost” :D i was specifically thinking of the US when i wrote that.
You’ve never had a car milkshake?

What is “quality of life”? I would argue it hasn’t really gone up a great deal since the 90s.

Yeah, alright, fair enough, food security I think can legitimately be counted as objective quality of life
