It would probably be safer legally to have a long range wifi and let users sign up for free, after agreeing to obey the laws. And then some kind of no-log or worthless-log policy.

Once we have proper self driving cars none of these recent “innovations” like that or the speed limiting would matter.

Ideally self driving cars would also be without a steering wheel and just be half width with a single seat or two seats facing each other to reduce energy requirements. You could just develop this with a manhattan style project and test it in a single city banning all other private cars except delivery vehicles.

I mean he doesn’t really any roots or supporters among MAGA like e.g. Steve Bannon. Musk “joined” MAGA shortly before the elections, but MAGA is already… over 10 years old? Well chewed up - besides the financial losses - the lack of people who “like” Elon Musk. Musk is as much as an narcissist as Trump, so those irrational motivations might have pushed him to support Trump in the first place after he lost his prestige with the liberals as a “captain of industry”. But now both sides hate him, he’s disgraced. Now he’s the one who raided the citizens data and smashed up everything with his “crazy” doge (Trump’s words in the future).
