you’d probably be better off setting up your own domain server and trying to get that working
I think there are better things to do with $500k than throw it all away for a useless domain name, like distribute it to the people who maintain fediverse software and host instances.
Nooo we can’t do that because I don’t 100% align with the beliefs of lemmys devs so I’d rather see the project go broke
